Martin Margiela
0/10 FW 2002 Artisanal Reversible Shearling Coat
Size M
Exceptional Maison Martin Margiela coat from the artisanal Fall/Winter 2002 collection,
Constructed entirely from sheepskin, the coat can be worn with either side exposed. One side presents the natural cream shearling fleece with contrasting tan suede patch pockets, collar and leather-trimmed edges, while the reverse reveals the warm brown suede exterior with the shearling forming an oversized textured collar and interior.
The construction is deliberately utilitarian and visibly hand-finished, with exposed seams, large patch pockets, leather-bound edges and oversized horn-effect buttons. The elongated, slightly oversized silhouette is characteristic of Margiela menswear from this period.
Condition
Great overall vintage condition with slight signs of use consistent with the nature and age of the sheepskin.
Some natural variations, marks and patina are visible on the suede, particularly around the pockets, cuffs and back.
Please refer to the detailed photographs.
