Rare Maison Martin Margiela Artisanal Line 0 skirt from Spring/Summer 2001, constructed from two different pleated skirts fused together into a single asymmetric garment.
Two pleated skirts in contrasting shades of red are combined at the waist, creating an intentionally irregular silhouette with layered volumes, uneven lengths and different pleat structures.

The construction allows the brighter red secondary skirt to hang independently over the main darker red pleated layer, producing movement and changing proportions depending on how the piece is positioned.

The oversized waist construction can be adjusted considerably, allowing the skirt to be worn fitted at the waist or lower on the hips.

Great overall condition.
