Exceptional vintage Jil Sander coat from the 1980s, crafted in a substantial blend of alpaca and wool with an exceptionally soft, dense and tactile finish.
The coat is built around a generous, softly structured silhouette, with a notably oversized cut that allows the fabric to fall naturally away from the body. Its dramatic wide collar can be worn open to create broad lapels or closed higher around the neck, substantially changing the proportions of the piece.

The deep chocolate-brown fabric has a rich, slightly fuzzy surface characteristic of alpaca-rich cloth, giving the otherwise minimal construction considerable depth.
Large patch pockets reinforce the relaxed proportions, while the asymmetric button placement and softly rounded hem give the coat a less conventional line than a traditional tailored overcoat.
