An exceptional Martin Margiela dress from Fall/Winter 1997, one of the house’s most iconic and historically important runway collections. This piece corresponds to the burgundy satin runway dress shown layered under deconstructed tailoring in the FW 1997 presentation.

Cut in a deep burgundy and black iridescent satin, the dress has a fluid, elongated silhouette with a sleeveless construction and a softly flared hem. The front features a long exposed red zip opening, creating a raw, utilitarian contrast against the luminous surface of the fabric.

The back features Maison Margiela’s signature four white stitches at the neckline.
Great overall condition. Slight tear on the front, visible in photos.
