Martin Margiela
Line 6 FW 2000 Navy Wool Reversible Jacket
Size IT 44
An early Martin Margiela jacket from Fall/Winter 2000, designed as a fully reversible garment with two distinct approaches to the same compact, utilitarian silhouette. Cut with a straight body, structured shirt-style collar and clean shoulder line, the jacket reflects Margiela’s characteristic interest in functional clothing and garments whose construction can be reconsidered through use.
One side is particularly graphic, with silver-tone metal zippers interrupting the otherwise monochromatic navy wool surface and a concealed central fastening maintaining the severity of the front. Reversed, the construction becomes quieter and more workwear-oriented, exposing a row of metal press studs and large geometrically defined pockets. The ability to turn the garment inside out is treated not simply as a practical feature but as part of the design itself, shifting visible seams, closures and functional details according to how the jacket is worn.
CONDITION
Great overall condition.
