Maison Margiela Fall/Winter 2015 tailored jumpsuit, cut in dark navy virgin wool with fine pinstripes and combining the language of traditional menswear tailoring with an exaggerated, distinctly Margiela silhouette.
The piece is constructed almost like a fitted jacket extended into a very short playsuit. It features sharply structured, slightly raised shoulders, an oversized pointed collar, long fitted sleeves with extended buttoned cuffs, and a closely shaped waist.
The upper body closes with a vertical row of black buttons, while an asymmetric buttoned waist tab crosses the front and further emphasizes the narrow waist before the garment opens into broad tailored shorts.

The proportioning is particularly striking: the narrow torso and waist contrast with the architectural shoulders, oversized collar and flared lower section. The pinstripe fabric reinforces the reference to conventional business suiting while the exaggerated construction transforms it into something much more theatrical.

The shoulder treatment and enlarged collar also recall recurring elements from the house's earlier vocabulary under Martin Margiela.
