Rare black suede jacket by Martin Margiela, from the Spring Summer 1998 flat sewing pattern collection.
Iconic piece, here the flat pattern-like panels are layered directly over the body, creating a wearable jacket.

Crafted in black suede leather, the jacket features exposed panel construction, sculptural curved seams, raw and irregular edges, shoulder cut-outs, a double front zip closure, and the signature four white stitches at the back.
The silhouette is fitted and elongated.

Condition

Good overall condition.

Small repair at the underarm area, hidden when worn as it is covered by a second panel.

The suede shows natural irregularities and light marks throughout, consistent with the material and age of the piece.
