An elaborate vintage Dries Van Noten belt conceived almost as a piece of jewelry.
The wide textile base is densely hand-embellished with large faceted jewel-like stones in deep burgundy and purple tones, surrounded by violet square crystals, metallic tube beads and dark sequins.

The decoration forms a continuous scrolling, almost baroque pattern across the entire front of the belt, with alternating circular and teardrop-shaped motifs and small cut-out sections that give the heavy embellishment a more intricate, lace-like appearance. Narrow black leather ties extend from the ends and allow the belt to be adjusted and tied around the waist.
A particularly decorative Dries Van Noten accessory, designed to transform a simple dress, coat or tailoring piece.

Good overall condition
One of the large faceted stones has a visible surface flaw/chip, as pictured.
Minor signs of age may be present throughout the hand-applied embellishment.
